Review of PKU Standards and Guidelines for Referral

A review of current national standards and guidelines for Phenylketonuria (PKU) is underway. An initial meeting took place in December 2008 with representatives of the UKNSPC, BIMDG, UKNSLN and METBIONET . Further work is taking place with an Expert Group meeting in June 2009. Revised draft guidelines and standards will be sent out to stakeholders for consultation later in the year. Please email the Programme Centre if you would like further information about the work.
