Results belong to parents

Results belong to parents

Background

The aim of the status codes is to improve the consistency in reporting blood spot screening test results from newborn screening laboratories to child health, and to improve the timeliness and efficiency of the newborn blood spot screening process including tracking the receipt of blood spot samples by laboratories and avoiding missed cases.

The main aim of the Results to Parents project was to improve the communication of normal newborn screening blood spot results to parents, for recording in the Personal Child Health Record (PCHR).
